The Allegiant card isn't particularly interesting. The signup bonus is small, and the credit card doesn't even give you free checked bags on Allegiant. However, if you fly on Allegiant once or twice per year for vacation travel, it might be worthwhile to get the card to take advantage of its 2-for-1 airfare benefit on the purchase of a vacation package.

Collecting the Signup Bonus
Allegiant doesn't have a traditional frequent flyer program. Instead, the Allegiant credit card earns points that you redeem, like cash, for purchasing tickets, vacation packages, or other travel, through the Allegiant website. Points are worth 1 cent each. Points are convenient to use, as you can spend whatever points you have, and pay the rest with the cash.
Most people shouldn't bother getting this card, just for the signup bonus. After subtracting the annual fee and the opportunity cost of using the card for $point of spending, the calculated net value for the initial year is $15000 (Expression error: Unrecognized word "point". cents per dollar spent).
