Hotel Strategies, Hotel Loyalty Program Reference Guide
844-382-2267
Quick Guide
- With few hotels in the United States, and no credit card to quickly earn points, Le Club Accor is not one of the most popular hotel loyalty programs. Unless you travel internationally, it is mostly interesting as the reward program for the upscale Fairmont Hotels.
- Unlike most other hotel programs, Club Accor is a fixed-value points system. You can use points instead of cash, even in small quantities, to pay for some portion of your hotel room. Points are always worth about 2 cents each.
- When you stay at Club Accor, you can earn 1 Flying Blue mile for every Euro spent (on top of your Club Accor points; and you can earn 1 Club Accor point for every two Euros spent on Air France / KLM flights.
It is very easy for someone who occasionally stays in Club Accor hotels to spend the points they earn.
Accor is expanding their reward program, and renaming it "ALL" (Accor Live Limitless). Members will now receive a confirmed suite upgrade award upon reaching Platinum status, can earn a 2nd certificate at 18,000 status points, and will earn one additional certificate for every 4,000 additional status points, up to a maximum total of 12 per year. For frequent travelers, they are introducing two new higher-level elite tiers.
You'll be able to earn and redeem points at a number of smaller hotel chains including The house of Originals, Delano, Mondrian, SLS, Hyde, 21C, Mantis, Movenpick, Orient Express, 25hours, Mantra, Art Series, Peppers and Breakfree hotels.
They are also adding a dining program to earn points and more "experiences" that you can redeem with your points.
Club Accor Brands
Accor hotels is one of the largest hotel chains in the world, and is particularly strong in much of Europe. However, they don't operate very many hotels in the United States.
Award Chart
The Accor Points program uses fixed value points. You usually earn 2.5 points per euro spent at their hotels. When you make a reservation, you can use 2,000 points to get 40 euros off the room rate. This equates to points being worth about 2 cents each, and earning points worth 5 cents per dollar at Accor hotels. Stays at Ibis and Mama Shelter only earn 1.25 points per euro, stays at Adagio only earn 1 point per euro, and stays at Adagio Access only earn .5 point per euro.
Another decent way to use your Accor points is to transfer them to Iberia, British Airways, Finnair, Qantas, or Virgin Australia. Accor normally gives you .5 airline miles for every point, which works out to about 4 cents per mile. But, with the airline partners listed above, you get 1 mile per point instead, letting you buy miles for 2 cents each. For British Airways, you’ll need to transfer to Iberia first, and then on to British.
